Player Defaults/Withdrawals during the event – Squash Canada outlines in our hosting standards that ‘If a player withdraws from the event because of illness or injury they must supply a medical certificate within 72 hours of the end of the tournament, unless Squash Canada communicates to the player that it is satisfied with the overt legitimacy of the injury or illness.’ The request for a medical certificate to validate a default/withdrawal is standard practice to ensure there is no violation of Squash Canada policies and procedures (ie. Code of Conduct, Competition Manipulation, etc.).
It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure they adhere to all Squash Canada policies and procedures that are available on the website as well as the tournament registration process in Club Locker, which an athlete must consent and adhere to when they register.
Failure to adhere to Squash Canada policies and procedures may result in disciplinary action from the Complaints Resolution Officer.
